As Head Dental Nurse, you'll act as a central point of support between the nursing teams and management, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the practices.
Importantly, this role is focused on oversight, organisation, communication, and leadership rather than personally fixing every issue yourself.
Key responsibilities will include:
π¦· Supporting and mentoring the nursing team
π Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
π§ Identifying operational issues and escalating appropriately
π Helping maintain clinical standards and consistency across sites
π€ Supporting communication between clinicians, nurses, and management
π Assisting with onboarding and supporting less experienced team members
π₯ Helping maintain compliance, organisation, and efficiency across the practice group
This role would suit someone who enjoys leading by example and creating a positive culture within the team.

Essential:
β GDC-registered Dental Nurse
β Previous experience in a senior, lead, or management-level nursing role
β Strong leadership and communication skills
β Comfortable working between York and Pickering (one day per week)
