We're a busy, well-established private dental practice based in the heart of Holborn, just a 3-minute walk from Chancery Lane station (Central line). We're looking for a confident, organised, and clinically excellent Head Dental Nurse to join our close-knit team across our two-surgery practice.
The Role This is primarily a hands-on clinical position, with dedicated time each morning to lead on compliance, governance, and practice operations. You'll be chairside every day supporting our dentists across a broad and interesting mix of treatments, while also taking ownership of the standards and processes that keep the practice running smoothly and safely.
Days & Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–18:00 (Thursdays include extended hours to accommodate two dentists on site. Flexibility can be discussed for the right candidate.)

What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing full-time chairside dental nursing across all five days
- Supporting clinicians across general, restorative, cosmetic, implant, and endodontic treatments
- Leading morning checks and daily operational oversight
- Driving and maintaining CQC compliance across the practice
- Overseeing and reviewing clinical audits
- Monitoring infection control procedures and proactively identifying risks
- Reviewing key performance indicators including patient safety metrics and staffing ratios
- Supporting general practice management as needed
- GDC-registered dental nurse with solid, all-round clinical experience
- Previous experience in a senior, lead, or head nurse role (or ready to make that step)
- Confident working in a fast-paced, private practice environment
- Knowledge of CQC standards and compliance highly desirable
- Familiarity with Exact dental software a bonus, but not essential
- Reliable, proactive, and a natural team player
- £17.50–£19.00 per hour, depending on experience
