An established private dental practice is seeking a confident and experienced Head Dental Nurse to join its small, close-knit team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior nurse ready to step into a leadership role within a professional private environment. You’ll play a key part in maintaining clinical standards, supporting the team, and overseeing CQC compliance — with full training and support provided where needed.

🕒 Working Pattern

• Monday – Friday
• 08:30 – 17:45
• No weekends
• Permanent, full-time position

• Fully private practice
• 4 modern surgeries

• Focus on high-quality general dentistry
• Cosmetic dentistry clinics 2 days per week

💼 The Role – Head Nurse Responsibilities

You will:

• Lead and support the nursing team
• Maintain high clinical and cross-infection standards
• Oversee and manage CQC compliance
• Ensure documentation and protocols are kept up to date
• Support clinicians with chairside assistance when required
• Help maintain smooth day-to-day practice operations

You will gradually take over responsibility for the CQC side of the practice. If you’re not fully confident in this area yet, full training and support will be provided.

💷 Salary & Progression

• £18.00 per hour initially
• Increase to £19.00 per hour after 6 months, once fully performing all Head Nurse duties
• Annual salary review thereafter
• Stable, long-term position within a private setting

This role offers clear progression and financial recognition as responsibilities are fully assumed.

👩‍⚕️ Who We’re Looking For

Essential:

• GDC-registered Dental Nurse
• 2–3 years of nursing experience
• Reliable, organised and confident
• Comfortable taking on responsibility
• Willing to develop understanding of CQC compliance

Desirable:

• Previous management or senior nurse experience
• Experience in a private practice setting
