📍 About the Practice
- Type: Predominantly NHS (approx. 90%), with a growing private patient base
- Dentistry: General Dentistry
- Software: EXACT
- Working Pattern:
- Days: Monday – Friday
- Hours: 08:30 – 17:30 (with 1–2 breaks for lunch)
- £15–£16 per hour for the first month
- Salary increase following successful trial and progression over subsequent months
As Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management and long-term success of the practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Overall operational management of the dental practice
- Ensuring full compliance with NHS regulations, CQC standards, HTM 01-05, GDPR, and health & safety requirements
- Managing NHS contracts, UDAs, and performance monitoring
- Staff management including recruitment, training, appraisals, rotas, and ongoing development
- Leading and motivating the team to deliver excellent patient care
- Overseeing patient journey, complaints handling, and patient satisfaction
- Financial oversight including budgets, targets, stock control, and liaising with accountants and external suppliers
- Supporting the gradual expansion of private dentistry within the practice
- Maintaining accurate records and effective use of EXACT dental software
- Proven experience as a Dental Practice Manager within NHS dentistry
- Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Confident leadership and staff training skills
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience using EXACT software (highly desirable)
