About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Dental Practice Manager to join a well-established, modern private dental practice located on the outskirts of Abingdon. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the chance to take on a key leadership role in a busy and diverse clinical environment.

As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice, working closely with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure high standards of patient care, staff performance, and operational efficiency. You will play a vital role in leading the team, optimising cost efficiency, and ensuring that clinical diaries are managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the dental practice.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to the dental and support team.
  • Ensure diaries are optimised for productivity and patient care.
  • Monitor and drive cost-efficiency across the practice.
  • Support and implement business development goals.
  • Oversee compliance with CQC and other regulatory requirements.
  • Handle HR responsibilities including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Deliver excellent patient service and resolve any patient concerns efficiently.
  • Ensure the practice maintains high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and infection control.
  • Work closely with clinicians and management to achieve practice growth.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience managing a dental practice or similar healthcare environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Confident in decision-making, problem-solving, and driving performance.
  • Organised, efficient, and proactive approach to managing tasks and priorities.
  • Experience in diary management and understanding of cost-effective practice operations.
  • Hands-on attitude and the ability to “get stuck in” when needed.
