We are launching a brand-new private dental practice and are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join us at the very start of our journey. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new practice, grow alongside an expanding team, and develop your skills in a modern, forward-thinking environment.

🕒 Working Pattern & Hours
  • Initially: 3 days per week
  • Progression: Increasing to 5 days per week within approximately 3 months as the practice grows
  • Full-time hours: 40 hours per week
  • Standard shifts:
    • Most days: 8:30am – 5:30pm
    • Occasional late shifts: 10am – 7pm or 11am – 8pm
  • Saturdays: Occasionally required (half or full day), particularly during the early growth phase of the practice
Flexibility is important, as this is a new practice with evolving needs.

💼 Key Responsibilities

As a Dental Nurse, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of the practice and the delivery of exceptional patient care. Responsibilities will include:

Clinical & Chairside Support
  • Providing high-quality chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures
  • Anticipating clinician needs to ensure efficient, smooth treatments
  • Preparing treatment rooms before sessions and maintaining them throughout the day
  • Supporting patients throughout their visit, ensuring comfort, reassurance, and clear communication
Infection Control & Compliance
  • Strictly adhering to HTM 01-05 and infection control protocols
  • Decontamination, sterilisation, and correct storage of instruments
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and clinical safety across the practice
Patient Care & Communication
  • Delivering outstanding patient care and customer service at all times
  • Explaining post-operative instructions and oral health advice when required
  • Building positive relationships with patients to enhance their overall experience
Administration & Practice Support
  • Accurate clinical note-taking and record management using Dentally
  • Assisting with stock control, ordering, and equipment maintenance
  • Supporting the wider team with the day-to-day running of the practice
  • Contributing ideas and feedback to help develop systems and workflows in a new practice
👤 About You We are looking for someone who is:
  • A qualified or newly qualified Dental Nurse (GDC registered or pending registration)
  • A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed, with a strong work ethic
  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in a new and evolving environment
  • Open to learning, change, and professional development

💰 Salary
  • £12.21– £14 per hour (DOE)
Salary will be discussed based on experience, skills, and progression within the practice.
