This role is ideal for a Dental Nurse who is passionate about patient care and keen to develop their knowledge and experience within orthodontics. The Role
As the Orthodontic Dental Nurse, you will work directly with the Orthodontist, supporting the delivery of specialist orthodontic treatments and ensuring the smooth running of clinical appointments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing dedicated chairside assistance to the Orthodontist during clinical procedures.
- Preparing and maintaining the clinical environment, ensuring all instruments and equipment are ready for use.
- Maintaining excellent standards of cross-infection control, decontamination and clinical safety.
- Supporting patients throughout their orthodontic treatment, helping them feel comfortable and reassured.
- Assisting with the smooth running of appointments and maintaining an organised, efficient clinical environment.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and following practice protocols.
- Working closely with the Orthodontist to deliver a high standard of clinical care and an excellent patient experience.
You will ideally have:
- GDC registration – essential.
- A genuine interest in Orthodontics and a desire to develop within the speciality.
- Previous orthodontic nursing experience, although a motivated Dental Nurse keen to learn will also be considered.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, organised and proactive approach to your work.
- The ability to build rapport with patients and provide a calm, reassuring experience.
- A strong commitment to clinical standards, teamwork and patient care.
