🦷 Associate Dentist | Private Practice | Bournemouth

Permanent | 1–4 Days per Week | 40–50% Private Split | Flexible Working | Clinical Development

Are you an ambitious Associate Dentist looking to grow your private patient base within a practice that prioritises clinical quality, patient relationships and a personalised approach to care?

An excellent opportunity is available to join an established private dental practice in Bournemouth, offering flexibility around working days and the opportunity to shape your clinical diary around your skills, experience and areas of interest.

This role would suit a dentist who enjoys taking the time to understand patients' needs, discussing treatment options thoroughly and delivering high-quality care without the pressure of a fast-paced, high-volume corporate environment.

The practice is particularly interested in clinicians with a defined area of expertise, a portfolio of clinical cases and the ambition to develop a strong, sustainable private patient book with the benefit of mentorship and ongoing support.

📍 The Opportunity

Position: Associate Dentist

Location: Bournemouth

Contract: Permanent

Practice Type: Fully private

Working Pattern: 1–4 days per week, depending on skillset and clinical interests

Dental Software: Dentally

Start Date: ASAP

Working days are flexible, with the opportunity shaped around the successful candidate's clinical abilities and interests. As your patient base grows, there is potential for your diary to become increasingly tailored to the treatments you most enjoy providing.

💷 Remuneration

40–50% private split, negotiable depending on experience and clinical interests.

The practice is looking for a dentist who can contribute to its clinical offering while developing a loyal patient base over time. The remuneration reflects the opportunity to build a longer-term position around your strengths, supported by mentorship and a patient-focused approach.

🦷 Clinical Environment

The practice places a strong emphasis on comprehensive treatment planning, patient communication and quality of care.

Treatment plans can be extensive, with fees sometimes reaching four or five figures. Clinicians are encouraged to take the time needed to understand patients' concerns, explain treatment options and guide them through their care.

Appointments may involve two to three hours with a patient where the nature and complexity of the consultation require it. This environment is best suited to a dentist who values attention to detail, clinical quality and building patient trust rather than working at volume.

🔍 Clinical Interests & Areas of Expertise

The practice is keen to hear from dentists who can demonstrate a particular clinical strength and evidence of their work.

Relevant skills and interests may include:

Cosmetic dentistry and comprehensive private treatment planning.

Endodontics and root canal treatment — a particularly valuable additional skillset.

Dental implants — relevant qualifications, training and solid practical experience.

Other established clinical interests that could support the development of a tailored private patient book.

A portfolio of completed cases demonstrating your clinical ability would be advantageous.
