Please note: previous dental reception experience is essential for this position. You must have worked in a dental practice reception/Front of House role to be considered.

This is not a general receptionist position — they're specifically looking for someone who already understands dental reception, patient journeys and the day-to-day demands of working within a dental practice.

📍 The Role

Position: Dental Receptionist / Front of House
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Type: Private
Salary: £14.50 per hour
Start: Mid-September

🕘 Working Hours

Monday: 8:15am–5:30pm
Tuesday: 8:15am–5:30pm
Wednesday: 8:15am–5:30pm
Thursday: 8:15am–5:30pm
Friday: 8:15am–3:00pm

📅 1 in 6 Saturdays: Wednesday finish will be 7:00pm when the Saturday is worked.

🏥 The Practice

You'll be joining a private referral practice with a strong focus on specialist and periodontal dentistry.

The practice provides:

🩷 Periodontal Treatment

You'll be dealing with a varied patient base, including patients who may be nervous or anxious, so excellent communication and a naturally reassuring manner are really important.

💙 Your Role

As the first point of contact, you'll be responsible for creating a warm and professional experience for every patient.

You'll be involved in:

✔️ Welcoming and checking in patients
✔️ Managing the dental reception and Front of House
✔️ Answering calls and handling patient enquiries
✔️ Supporting patients throughout their journey
✔️ Booking and managing appointments
✔️ Communicating confidently with patients and clinicians
✔️ Supporting the smooth running of the practice
✔️ Maintaining a professional and organised reception
✔️ Using dental software and IT systems
✔️ Supporting nervous and anxious patients
✔️ Taking on additional responsibility as you progress towards Team Leader

👀 Who Are They Looking For?

Dental reception experience is essential.

We're looking for someone who has already worked on dental reception/Front of House and understands how a dental practice operates.

✔️ Confident and adaptable

✔️ Comfortable dealing with nervous and anxious patients

Desirable:

⭐ Dentally experience
⭐ Knowledge of dental compliance
⭐ Understanding of CQC requirements
⭐ Previous experience taking on additional responsibility within a dental practice
