We’re currently recruiting for a Dental Hygienist to join a mixed dental practice in Sudbury on a fixed-term basis, starting in April 2027 for an initial period of approximately 6–9 months.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GDC-registered Hygienist looking for a flexible temporary position within a supportive clinical environment. With flexibility around working days and hours, this role could suit someone looking to maintain a consistent clinical schedule while having some control over their working week.
Importantly, you'll always have the support of a dedicated Dental Nurse, allowing you to concentrate on delivering high-quality hygiene care and maintaining an excellent patient experience.
🦷 The Role & Clinical Environment
You'll be joining a three-surgery mixed practice, providing general dentistry and hygiene treatments.
The practice offers a straightforward hygiene-focused position, with 30-minute patient appointments and dedicated nursing support throughout.
Key features include:
30-minute hygiene appointments
Dedicated Dental Nurse support at all times
A mix of general dentistry and hygiene
Dentally practice management software
Three-surgery practice
Staff parking available
💼 Working Days & Hours
There is flexibility around the days and hours offered, with the current proposed schedule being:
Monday: 9:00am–5:30pm
Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am–12:30pm
The practice is open to discussing alternative working arrangements, making this a particularly attractive opportunity for Hygienists who require some flexibility.
💰 Salary & Payment
The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £40+ per hour.
Paid hourly rather than on a per-patient basis
Payment applies whether a patient attends or does not attend
Consistent hourly remuneration
No reliance on maintaining a fully booked appointment book to earn your agreed hourly rate
This provides greater financial certainty compared with arrangements where payment is dependent on patient attendance.
