Position: Dental Nurse
Location: Winchester
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Practice Type: Private
Days: Monday–Friday
Hours: 9:00am–6:00pm, with one late day until 7:00pm
Salary: £15.00+ per hour DOE
Software: Dentally
Start Date: ASAP / Mid-July
🦷 A Specialist Orthodontic Environment
The practice will primarily focus on orthodontic treatment, giving you the opportunity to work closely with three specialist Orthodontists.
You'll gain valuable exposure to specialist orthodontic procedures while working within a modern, carefully designed private practice.
The practice will also utilise Dentally, supporting an organised and efficient digital workflow.
If you already have orthodontic experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to build on it.
If your background is primarily general dentistry but you're keen to move further into orthodontics, you'll have the opportunity to develop your specialist knowledge within an experienced team.
💙 Your Role
You'll play an important part in the clinical team, providing excellent chairside support while helping create a first-class experience for every patient.
Your responsibilities will include:
✔️ Providing high-quality chairside nursing support
✔️ Supporting specialist Orthodontists during treatment
✔️ Preparing surgeries and maintaining clinical standards
✔️ Assisting with orthodontic procedures
✔️ Supporting patients throughout their treatment journey
✔️ Maintaining excellent infection control standards
✔️ Keeping surgeries organised and fully stocked
✔️ Ensuring equipment is prepared and maintained correctly
✔️ Maintaining accurate clinical records
✔️ Working closely with the wider practice team

Essential
✔️ GDC Registered & Qualified Dental Nurse
✔️ Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience
✔️ Previous experience within a private dental practice
✔️ Excellent written and spoken English
✔️ Confident and professional manner
✔️ Bubbly, outgoing and personable personality
✔️ Strong communication and patient care skills
✔️ Reliable, organised and professional
No trainees will be considered for this position.
⭐ Desirable Experience
🦷 Previous orthodontic dental nursing experience
📱 iTero scanning experience
🦷 Experience working alongside specialist clinicians
💻 Previous Dentally experience
Orthodontic experience would be highly desirable, particularly for someone who wants to continue developing within specialist dentistry.
