The Role
- Position: Head Dental Nurse
- Location: Tottenham
- Salary: £16.50–£18.25 per hour, depending on experience
- Hours: 42.5 hours per week
- Days: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 08:45–18:15
- Contract: Permanent
- Start Date: ASAP
- Lead, support and motivate the dental nursing team
- Maintain consistently high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
- Ensure compliance with GDC, CQC, HTM, infection control and clinical governance requirements
- Coordinate nursing rotas and ensure appropriate clinical cover
- Support the recruitment, induction, mentoring and development of Dental Nurses
- Carry out clinical audits and maintain accurate compliance records
- Work alongside the Practice Manager and clinicians to improve practice efficiency
- Support clinicians with the smooth running of surgeries
- Provide chairside support and lead by example
- Promote a positive, professional and collaborative team environment
- GDC registration as a Dental Nurse
- A recognised Dental Nursing qualification
- Significant experience within a dental practice
- Previous experience in a senior/leadership role, or the ambition and ability to progress into one
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
- Good knowledge of CQC requirements, cross-infection control, safeguarding and clinical governance
- A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
- A genuine passion for patient care and supporting colleagues
