Are you an experienced Practice Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a dental practice and make a real impact? 😊
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Practice Manager to join a mixed dental practice in Oxford. This role would suit a confident leader with strong commercial awareness, excellent people management skills and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
Working within a supportive group network, you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, supporting the team, maintaining compliance and driving practice performance.
✨ The Role
🌟 Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of the practice.
🤝 Lead, motivate and support the team, promoting a positive working environment.
👥 Manage HR responsibilities, including recruitment, onboarding, training and appraisals.
📊 Monitor budgets, KPIs and commercial performance to support business growth.
🦷 Work collaboratively with clinicians and stakeholders to maintain high standards of patient care.
💬 Manage patient concerns and complaints professionally and effectively.
✅ Support compliance and operational standards across the practice.
🔑 Essential Requirements
🌟 Minimum 2 years' Practice Management or General Management experience.
👥 Strong leadership and people management skills.
📋 Good HR knowledge, including recruitment, onboarding, training and appraisals.
📊 Commercial awareness, including budgets, KPIs and practice performance.
🤝 Experience working collaboratively with clinicians and stakeholders.
💬 Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
🦷 Understanding of dental practice operations, patient care and complaints handling.
🇬🇧 The right to work in the UK.
🗣️ Excellent written and spoken English.
🚗 Ability to commute reliably or relocate before starting.
⭐ Desirable Experience
🦷 Previous dental or healthcare Practice Management experience.
📋 Knowledge of NHS dental contracts and UDA delivery.
✅ Familiarity with CQC compliance and inspection requirements.
💻 Experience using HR, payroll or dental practice management systems.
🖥️ Knowledge of Exact or Kodak R4 software.
💷 Salary & Working Hours
💰 Salary: From £36,000 per annum.
📅 Contract: Permanent, full-time.
🗓️ Working days: Monday–Friday.
⏰ Hours: 9:00am–5:00pm, 40 hours per week.
🏥 Practice type: Mixed NHS/private.
🦷 Treatments: General dentistry and implants.
💻 Dental software: Exact / Kodak R4.
📍 Location: Oxford.
