Position: Dental Nurse – Mixed Role (Clinical & Administrative)

Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered
Location: Private Dental Practice

We are currently seeking a confident, capable, and enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join our friendly and supportive private dental team. This is a dynamic mixed-role position ideally suited for someone who enjoys the variety of clinical and front-of-house duties, and thrives in a well-organised, professional environment.

This is not just a traditional nursing role – while two days per week will be fully dedicated to chairside assistance with our principal dentist, your week will also include time on reception and light management responsibilities such as stock ordering and practice organisation. You’ll play an integral part in both patient care and the smooth running of the practice.

About the Role:
  • Days/Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 6:00pm; Friday, 8:30am – 2:00pm
  • Working Hours: Typically 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Flexibility: Full-time preferred; part-time considered for the right candidate
  • Salary: £14 – £18 per hour, dependent on experience and suitability
  • Software Used: SOE
  • Type of Dentistry: General, Endodontics, and Restorative care across all age groups
  • Patient Base: Well-established and diverse, including all healthcare patients
Key Responsibilities:
  • Chairside dental nursing – assisting with a range of procedures
  • Front desk duties – welcoming patients, booking appointments, managing diaries
  • Administrative support – maintaining records, correspondence, and patient files
  • Stock and materials management – ordering, inventory, and general practice organisation
  • Upholding CQC standards and maintaining a safe, clean clinical environment
Essential Requirements:
  • GDC-registered Dental Nurse
  • Previous experience working on dental reception
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive, self-sufficient attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Professional, warm, and mature approach to patient care
